Welcome to Bloom ("we", "our", or "us"). Bloom is a pregnancy tracking app designed to support you through every step of your pregnancy journey. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with care, transparency, and respect.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Bloom, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use Bloom, you may provide:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password
• Pregnancy information — your due date, last menstrual period (LMP) date, baby's name (optional), and baby's gender preference (optional)
• Health tracking data — kick counts, contraction records, weight logs, and appointment details
• Photos — bump diary photos you choose to upload
• Planning data — hospital bag checklists, birth plans, to-do lists, and shopping lists
• Chat messages — conversations with our AI pregnancy assistant
• Profile photo — if you choose to upload one

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version
• Usage data — features you use, screens you visit, and time spent in the app
• Crash reports — technical error logs to help us fix bugs and improve the app

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your precise GPS location
• Contacts from your phone
• Microphone or camera data without your explicit action
• Data from other apps on your device
• Financial or payment information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the app's features — calculate your pregnancy week, show baby development content, and personalize your experience
• Power the AI assistant — your messages are sent to our AI service to generate pregnancy-related responses
• Send notifications — appointment reminders, weekly pregnancy updates, and daily tips (only if you enable them)
• Improve Bloom — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and build better features
• Ensure security — detect and prevent unauthorized access to your account

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 Partner Access (Optional)

If you choose to share your pregnancy progress with a partner using the Partner Code feature, they will have read-only access to your dashboard. You can revoke this access at any time from Settings.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on Supabase servers with industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit)
• We use Row Level Security (RLS) — your data is technically isolated from other users at the database level
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using secure algorithms
• We regularly review our security practices to keep your data safe

However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

You can view and edit your profile information at any time from Settings → Edit Profile.

6.2 Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

6.3 Notifications

You can turn off push notifications at any time from Settings → Notifications or from your device's system settings.

6.4 Partner Access

You can revoke a partner's access to your data at any time from Settings → Partner Sharing.

7. Children's Privacy

Bloom is intended for use by adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has used our app, please contact us and we will delete the data immediately.

8. Sensitive Health Data

We understand that pregnancy information is deeply personal. We treat all health-related data with extra care:

• This data is never shared with advertisers or data brokers
• This data is never used to target you with ads
• This data is only accessible to you and the service providers listed in Section 4
• You can delete all health data by deleting your account

9. Bump Diary Photos

Photos you upload to the Bump Diary feature are stored securely, are only accessible to you, are never used for training AI models, are never shared publicly or with third parties, and are permanently deleted when you delete your account.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via push notification or in-app message for significant changes.
